I was asked to create a series of three cover illustrations  for  3 volumes of  Ruskin Bond's stories . Maithili Doshi, the extremely talented and wonderful art director at Rupa, commisioned these and also designed

This Side That Side: Restorying Partition,

An anthology of graphic stories based on the partition; This Side That Side:
Restorying Partition, has been curated by Vishwajyoti Ghosh and published by
Arpita Das of Yodakin .I'm happy to have had the chance to contribute to
the art of this book by working on a story by Tabish Khair called 'The Old Fable',
a parody that captures the absurdity of the act of dividing
a nation. The book will be out by the end of August .

Colours of Delhi for HT's 'You read they learn' campaign

I was one of the three illustrators who was part of the   the wonderful 'You read they learn' campaign organised by Pratham books and the Hindustan Times this month . On May 1st, thousand of  copies of  'Colours of Delhi'  got printed on the front page of HT (imagine !) and were  in circulation in the Delhi, Gurgaon and NCR region. The pages could be cut out  and folded into a book and the  story  could be read out to children who cannot read, are learning to read or given to children who cannot afford books. Check out some images here .This book is available for download here http://issuu.com/htonline/docs/yrtl . Jasjyot is one of the other illustrators who was part of the campaign. Do check out his work at http://ultichhatri.blogspot.in/ . You will be left amazed.

I've been working with a new bakery/ cafe called Doughlicious (www.doughlicious.in) over the past 3 months creating their logo , collaterals and a few illustrations for their cafe interiors which I'm sharing here. I usually don't take on logo/branding projects , but this one was hard to resist since it had to do with food !
